I tried to go to the new Fairway Market in Douglaston today and could barely get in to the parking lot. You would have thought Justin Bieber was there bagging groceries while Lady Gaga worked the cash register.

I promptly headed over to Whole Foods and felt a pang of guilt like I had cheated on it. I don’t know why I love nice supermarkets so much, but I do and I’m not apologizing for it! Do you have a favorite? Are you willing to spend a little more for grocery store ambiance?
